Tibet: insegnante tibetano arrestato a Chengdu

Un insegnante tibetano è stato arrestato il primo ottobre a Chengdu. Joleb Dawa proviene dal villaggio di Tagkatsang, è insegnante in una scuola tibetana di Ngaba ed è l’editore della rivista “dhsurab kyi nga”.

A Tibetan from Tibet’s Ngaba region has been arrested in Chengdu on October 1.He is currently said to be held at an unknown location in Ngaba.Joleb Dawa, 38, from Tagkatsang village, is a teacher at a Tibetan school in Ngaba and the editor of the journal “dhusrab kyi nga”.The exact charges against Dawa is not known yet but Tsering believes the arrest is linked to the journal as two other Tibetans associated with the journal had earlier been arrested and are currently under detention. Dawa was held for about a month at a detention center in Ngaba . Dawa, a father of two, was again arrested on March 16, 2008, and detained for the following few months. Chinese police ransacked a small bookshop run by his wife and took away certain belongings.
